Poem: Ars Poetica
Sometimes a reminder that we’re not alone is welcome like a friend’s embrace

Ars Poetica
Glory Rage Beauty Suffocation The fearless Earth that spins along the ecliptic The fragile shoots that struggle, mud-bound, toward the sun The fury that fists to face, putrid words to unwilling ear The sweet-cream first touch The fever-ache last not knowing that it was until after I poem to tether you Me he she they Add you to yourself Accrete you to the larger Hum of us
Why does this exist? (a stuffy artist statement)
Because the world is a strange and glorious and heartbreaking place, and sometimes a reminder that we’re not alone is welcome like a friend’s embrace.
And now, an Irish blessing because I like those:
May you always find three welcomes in life
In a garden during summer,
At a hearth during winter,
And in the hearts of friends throughout all your years.
I post The Sooth episodes on Wednesday mornings and other stuff on Friday mornings
I may also post at other times, but for sure on those days (I shoot for 6:00am PST delivery so we can sip coffee together and celebrate another week done but don’t always quite make that). See you then!

Also writing poetry, essays, short stories, and whatever other weird stuff leaks from my pen.
